When Nadia contacted me to book in a lifestyle shoot I was pretty excited to hear she wanted to include her cat Mimi in the shoot.  This was my second shoot that involved a cat(s).  As regular readers know I love cats and have my own little cub.

At first Mimi wasn’t to sure about me…maybe she could smell ‘cat’ off of me and became wary, but as expected, when the treats and bribery came, she soon warmed up to me.  Cats just do not like to be told what to do, it’s all on their terms.

Nadia’s home was very homely and welcoming, and with this shoot being earlier this year when it was cold, she soon got the fire going…one of my favourite things, a home with a cozy warm log fire…and of course a cat 😉

Once Mimi and Nadia were relaxed we soon got started with the shoot.  Nadia had requested for most of the images to be delivered in black & white so I focused on achieving that for her.

Later on Nadia’s family joined us for the shoot.  Freshly brewed tea and fresh cream cakes were enjoyed followed by a very competitive game of dominos!

Nadia and her family certainly know how to enjoy themselves, I had an absolute blast capturing these moments as they unfolded, not to mention listening to the jokes and watching the competitive streaks come out in everyone during the game.
